Heather Smith

Heather brings more than 16 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a background that includes roles at two Fortune 500 companies and a private wealth management firm. She began her career as a business owner, an experience that continues to shape her practical, client-focused approach. Heather is known for her organization, attention to detail, and ability to build meaningful relationships while helping clients navigate important financial decisions with confidence. 

At Summerfield Wealth Advisors, Heather is passionate about creating a seamless, supportive experience for clients. She enjoys helping people feel informed, connected, and cared for, and takes pride in keeping processes running smoothly so clients can focus on what matters most. 

Outside of work, Heather is deeply rooted in her community in Morganton, North Carolina. She is actively involved with local nonprofits, including The Meeting Place and Casting for Hope, where she and her family participate in fly-fishing tournaments that raise funds for women in Western North Carolina facing gynecological cancers. Heather is also a proud mom to her daughter, Lilly, a talented artist and musician in college, and treasures time with her better half, Dale, and their family and friends.
